Searching for new recipe?: Try Kitchenbug

Ever since I started reading and collecting recipes online, I always thought if there is a certain site where I can just type in a category and then I can see a list of recipes right away.

I am glad that I found KITCHENBUG, it is a really cool site for me.I didnt know what it took me a while to discover the site :)

After clicking the link, I signed up right away and took me like 2 minutes to finish, I fell in love with the site right away, its like facebook for foodies, lol, only thing is you dont see faces, but you see lots and lots of dishes that can make you hungry right there and then and you dont collect friends, but recipes of course. 

Things that you can do at Kitchenbug:

• You can create your own recipe and share it.
• You get to be informed with a lot of food choices according to your diet preference, and if you are on a journey of weight loss it shows dietary information.
• You get to see different and exciting recipes that you can try yourself as well
• You get to connect with people who has similar food preferences as yours

Burgerlaring: Barneys Burger

Not really a big fan of burgers, all I know is I that the only burger that I enjoy is Jollibee's yum burger, lol, 

My sister and I, had this food trip session again, craving for something but we are having a hard time thinking exactly what is it that we want. From binatog, noodle bowl at 7/11, takoyaki and then we saw this most rave burger station: Barney's Burger.

Well, I guess burger lovers will enjoy the menu, since they serve all kinds of burgers, and not to mention in an affordable price.Price range is from P59.00 to P120.00.

What I ordered:

My sister really enjoyed the so-called "Frituur: Belgian Fries" at 250 gm, it only costs P50.00, which I think is just right, especially as it is accompanied with special dips to choose from such as : cheese jalapeno, honey mustard and wasabi mayo, with no additional fee and another thing that makes it special is the grind meat mixed with the fries.

Also ordered the Barneys Bacon Cheeseburger: Classic Quarter lb which costs P70.00 and Barneys Burger classic quarter pound at P59.00, but forgot to take a photo of it, the burger smells exactly like the Jollibee yum burger, as well as the bun, what makes it different for me, is that Barney's burger is cheesy and the patty is extra juicy, only thing that disappointed me is that they placed tidbits of bacon at the center of the patty.Definitely coming back as I want to try Barney's fully loaded next time.

Food Mood Monday: Mac n' Cheese

Here is my  version of mac n cheese, I recreate my own recipe every now and then just to make it simple and easy for everyone to do :)

I used:

*elbow macaroni
*1 can evaporated milk
*1/2 stick of butter
*1 tsp cayenne pepper
*2 tsp flour
*cheddar cheese
*bread crumbs

1. Place your elbow macaroni in hot boiling water,add a pinch of salt and cook according to package instruction, set aside.
2.Melt butter, save at least 1/4 for topping later on, add 2 tsp flour and whisk thoroughly until melted, add evaporated milk gradually, and continue whisking.
3 As soon as the mixture becomes a tad bit thick, add the cheddar cheese, once it gets creamy and thick then mix up the cooked macaroni.
4. Place in a pan, mix butter with bread crumbs and use it as toppings, add more cheese as desired as well as nachos/bacon bits.
5. Serve as is, or place it in the oven for at least 5 minutes.
